A tranquil retreat in the heart of the city, the Botanical Conservatory cultivates 24,500 square feet of indoor gardens where you can experience a lush tropical garden with a cascading waterfall, the sparse beauty of the Desert Garden, and four seasonal showcase exhibits throughout the year like its annual live butterfly exhibit. The Botanical Conservatory serves thousands of schoolchildren, residents, tourists, and visitors from around the world, who enjoy the facility while exploring the complex relationships between the plant world and mankind.
Live butterflies return to the Botanical Conservatory bringing with them an array of natural beauty and wonder through June 26, 2022! Come “hang out” and enjoy a twist in this year’s exhibit where vines and butterflies intertwine! Some of the common butterflies you may see in the exhibit are the Banded Peacock, Brown Clipper, Great Orange Tip, Tailed Jay, Scarlet Mormon and Malachite, among many others.
Complimenting your visit is a boutique-style gift shop where your inner plant lover and shopaholic can converge, and Conjure Coffee, a local coffee roaster, operating a café adjoined to the Botanical Conservatory.
