Make Time to Visit The Winter Village at Bryant Park

As soon as the clock hits midnight on December 1st, the holiday season officially begins. Everyone is super excited for the wintertime, and it seems like NYC is too. Christmas and Hanukkah are a couple of weeks away, and I needed to find something festive to do. Thankfully, Winter Village in Bryant Park recently reopened on October 28th, 2022! Bryant Park is located in Midtown Manhattan and is a short ride away on the LIRR. It’s time to start getting excited for the cold!

The activities at Bryant Park’s Winter Village include Ice Skating, Shopping, The Lodge Bar + Food Hall, Cozy Igloos and the Curling Café & Bar. If you are worried about food, here is a list of lodge bars and restaurants: El Pambazo Shop, The Lodge Bar, Alcove Bar, Rinkside Bar, S’mores N’More, Sweet Tooth NYC.

The Winter Village provides free admission ice skating, high-quality rental skates, free skating shows and plenty of other attractions. Of course, if you already own a pair of skates, you don’t have to pay money to be on the ice. This is the only place in NYC that offers a free admission ice skating rink. The prices for skates are usually $15-$50 with sizes 6T-7T, 8-13 for kids, 1-4 for big kids, and 5-14 for adults. There are different types of additional skating options, such as premium skate (135$+ that includes skate concierge, snacks + beverage, access to Polar Lounge, skate rentals, bag check, and extended ice time). All relevant information can be found by clicking HERE for the Bryant Park website.

The Winter Village at Bryant park is open from October 28, 2022 – March 5, 2023. Daily hours are from 8am-10pm. You can also attend during weekend and holiday hours from 8am-midnight. The park only closes if weather conditions are severe, so if there is light rain, Winter Village will continue to stay open. I suggest looking more into Winter Village if you’re looking to spend a fun day in the city. It’s a great way to enjoy the winter/holiday atmosphere.
