Looking for fun activities for your kids this summer? The Stokes Nature Center in Logan Canyon holds a weekly “Nature Tales” event for kids. They pick a different animal or aspect from nature to teach the kids about each week.
During the Nature Tales, they will read a book, talk about the topic, and complete a craft.
After they finish their craft they can play outdoors or go inside the nature center where there is a lot to learn. My kids’ favorite part is planting a flower and seeing the turtle!
The walk to get to the Nature Center is about a half a mile in, so park by the “Cache National Forest” sign and walk across the road and down the trail. It is a beautiful walk and takes no time at all. My kids walk the whole way with no problem.
Nature Tales is every Friday at 11:30 am. When it is cold they meet inside, but now that it is warm they meet outside.
Its mission is to provide nature education and promote outdoor exploration for people of all ages.
