If Halloween is your favorite holiday, Orlando should be at the top of your fall travel list. Known as the Halloween Vacation Capital, the city goes all-in on spooky season with more than 80 days of nonstop events. From not-so-scary trick-or-treat trails to full-blown haunted houses and even an elegant Vampire Ball, Orlando proves Halloween doesn’t have to be limited to October 31.

The city’s lineup is unmatched. Nationally recognized theme park events mix with quirky local festivals, immersive theater, horror conventions, and family-friendly fun. With warm weather, plenty of sunshine, and fewer summer crowds, fall is one of the best times to experience Orlando.


Spooky Theme Park Favorites

? Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (select nights through Oct. 31)
Magic Kingdom goes whimsical with a new Zombies dance party, the popular Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks, and Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade.
Tip: Tickets sell out quickly for weekend dates—book early and aim for weekday nights if you want lower crowds.

? Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights (select nights through Nov. 2)
This one’s for the thrill-seekers: 10 haunted houses, sinister scare zones, outrageous live shows, and late-night rides.
Tip: Invest in an Express Pass if you want to tackle multiple houses in one night—lines get long.

? SeaWorld Orlando

  • SeaWorld Spooktacular (weekends through Nov. 2) brings safe trick-or-treating and kid-friendly shows.
  • Howl-O-Scream (select nights through Nov. 1) cranks up the scare factor with haunted houses and scare zones.
  • Howl-O-Sprint (Oct. 2) lets you test your fear factor in a nighttime terror 5K.

? LEGOLAND Florida’s Brick or Treat Monster Party (Sept. 20 – Nov. 2)
Ghoul-tastic LEGO builds, trick-or-treating, and live shows keep younger kids entertained.
Tip: Costumes are encouraged, even for adults—join the fun!

  • Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar gets a spooky overlay with themed décor and cocktails.
  • The Haunted Mangoni in Winter Garden serves eerie bites and martinis with tarot readings.

  • Screamin’ Green Hauntoween at Crayola Experience (Sept. 20 – Oct. 31) lets kids craft spooky creations.

  • Nosferatu: Orlando’s Adult Vampire Experience delivers immersive theater in a haunted warehouse.
  • Cocktails & Screams downtown hosts its annual Vampire Ball (Oct. 30).
