Clue: Live on Stage! at the Eccles Theater is the kind of theatrical experience that reminds you why a night at the theatre can be pure joy. From the moment the lights come up on Boddy Manor, the audience is swept into a fast‑moving, laugh‑out‑loud mystery that never takes itself too seriously and is all the better for it. This production leans fully into its farcical roots, embracing the humor, chaos, and clever wordplay that fans of the game and movie love, while still feeling fresh and energetic.

At the center of it all is Wadsworth, the tightly wound butler played by Adam Brett, whose impeccable comedic timing and physical comedy anchor the entire show. He moves the plot along at breakneck speed, juggling exposition, suspects, and increasingly ridiculous circumstances with ease. Miss Scarlet, played by Camille Capers, brings sharp wit, confidence, and perfectly delivered one‑liners that land effortlessly with the audience. Her presence adds sparkle and sass to every scene she’s in. Mrs. White, played by Sarah Mackenzie Baron, is a masterclass in deadpan humor, often earning some of the biggest laughs with a single icy stare or dryly delivered line. Mrs. Peacock, played by Madeline Raube, is delightfully over‑the‑top, filling the stage with frantic energy, dramatic flair, and nonstop chatter that feels both chaotic and completely intentional. Colonel Mustard, played by Nate Curlott, leans into bluster and bravado, providing strong physical comedy and reactions that heighten the absurdity of the situation. Professor Plum, played by TJ Lamando, rounds out the suspects with nervous intensity and intellectual awkwardness, creating a perfect contrast to the larger personalities around him.

Visually, the show is a treat. The sets are cleverly designed to move and shift seamlessly, transforming the stage from room to room without ever slowing the momentum. Doors slam, walls rotate, and secret passages appear so smoothly they feel like part of the joke. The transitions are flawless, keeping the pacing tight and the audience engaged. Costumes clearly define each character, staying true to the period while reinforcing personality through color and style. Lighting enhances both the mystery and the comedy, using dramatic cues to heighten suspense one moment and underline punchlines the next.
What truly makes this production shine is how much fun it is. The cast commits fully, the script crackles with wordplay and visual gags, and the audience response proves just how infectious the energy is. Clue at the Eccles Theater is fast, funny, and endlessly entertaining, making it an ideal night out for theatre lovers, families with older kids, or anyone looking for a good laugh.
